Lakenheath (1-0) @ Filton (0-1)
Both teams saw each other a few weeks ago at a jamboree. Which team has improved the most? Lakenheath has a running start with an opening week win.
Ramstein (0-1) @ Kaiserslautern (0-1)
Cross-town rivalry. Both teams looking for a jump-start win, after tough opening week losses. Both teams should be hungry.
Heidelberg (1-0) @ Wiesbaden (0-1)
Heidelberg, thus far, is spreading defenses out and using their speed. Wiesbaden stumbled last week versus another speed team, Vilseck. We will see if they can adjust in a short time.
Vilseck (1-0) @ Patch (1-0)
Only one of these teams can be undefeated after this weekend. Fairly well matched, give Patch the power edge and give Vilseck the over-all speed edge.
AFNORTH (0-2) @ ISB (0-0)
AFNORTH is talented, but a bit thin in numbers and will have to match up to ISB’s 20 returning lettermen. 2010 semi-finalist ISB should be one of the better team in DII North this year.
Ansbach (1-0) @ Schweinfurt (0-1)
New program versus well established program. Schweinfurt is very talented and athletic, but still trying to find themselves.
Hohenfels (0-1) @ Aviano (1-0)
Last year, Naples beat Hohenfels 39-0. This year, an older bunch of Hohenfels athletes took Naples to the wire, 19-12. Aviano handled Schweinfurt last week, after struggling versus Rota the previous week. This is a very important game for both programs and both will have to step up to win.
Shape (0-1) @ Bitburg (2-0)
Shape faced an athletic team last week. Now they face an even bigger athletic team in Bitburg.
Vicenza (0-1) @ Naples (1-0)
Vicenza is deeper and more athletic this year. As soon as the team matures, they have great potential. Time is short, as they travel to face undefeated Naples this week.
Baumholder- (2-0) Bye- The Bucs have averaged over 40 points a game, thus far.
Brussels (0-1) @ Alconbury (0-1)
Both programs looking for a win. Brussels has struggled in the past few years, but this is a new year… Alconbury wants to establish the same type of team they have had in the past few years.
Menwith Hill (1-0) @ Bamberg (1-0)
On paper, this a athletic, speedy Bamberg bunch. They have more athletes than Menwith Hill, but are new to the 9 man game. Menwith Hill has always been the tiny upstart that fears nobody. This game may be a lot closer than pure athleticism would suggest.
Rota (1-0) @ Sigonella (0-1)
Rota may be the dark horse of Division III. A significant win against DII Aviano (26-0) would suggest that they are talented. Sigonella is the defending champion, but must replace many starters
